AUS Speaker Series
The American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland prepares students with skills needed for the future. Interlaced with AUS courses, classroom discussions, and projects, guest speakers regularly enhance the learning experience. Monthly seminars/lectures given by different leading experts sharing their experiences and insights with our students.
Future speakers will cover best practices, lessons learned, and tips in various fields and topics, including entrepreneurship, future business realities, and leadership. As part of the Human Resources Management course with Prof. Sanja Frabrio, BSBA students visited the Rive-Reine Nestlé International Training Centre to learn more about Nestlé's Leadership Development and strategies to win the 'War on Talent'. The visit hosted by Mr. Bertrand Rajon, Head of Management and Executive Leadership Education, provided insightful information on Nestlé's view on what competencies will be important in the next 10-15 years to compete in the world of the future.

The visit to ECOM was part of the requirement for the Management for Sustainable Development course. The company officials provided an overview of the company operations and their trading and history, dating back to six generations. The sustainable development approach that ECOM is following is a symbol and a practice that needs to be followed in many other companies and countries worldwide.

BSBA class visited the Jean Monnet Foundation as part of their "Political Science" course. The Foundation was created in 1978 by Jean Monnet, one of the founding fathers of the building of Europe, who entrusted to it the entirety of his archives. Today it houses many other private archive collections, including iconographic and audio-visual documents. It also contains a specialized library and Documentation Center.
